"VATER" AND EMMA HOFFMANN

"Vater" Hoffmann (so-called here because his Christian names are not recorded anywhere) was born on 20 June 1819, and died on 26 January 1882. His parentage also is not recorded. In around 1852 he married Emma von Braunschweig, the daughter of Friedrich Maximilien von Braunschweig, who was borm on 15 August 1831 and died on 30 April 1910; they were our great-grandparents

Their children were:

Marie (1854-), who married Siegfried Voigt, the brother of Ludwig Reinhard (see below) in 1875;

Anna (1856-1857);

Mathilde Elisabeth (Else, 1857-1928), who married Ludwig Reinhard Voigt (1847-1922) in 1877; our grandparents;

Margarethe (1861-1924), who married Friedrich Delitsch;

Fritz (1862-1890);

Paul (1864-)
